The upcoming release of the Swift-ID SID400 and IOT180 provides a combination that lets solution providers create intelligent RFID edge solutions. Executing on the IOT180, the Blue ID-Engine software gives solution providers control of the SID400. The combined solution is ideal for inventory management, access control, kiosk solutions, asset tracking and industrial automation.

About the IOT180

IoT180The Swift-ID IOT180 is a general-purpose embedded computer running Android™ 6.0 Marshmallow with Google services. To support sophisticated applications and device management capabilities, the IOT180 has 2GB of RAM and 16GB of eMMC storage (32GB is optional).

The IOT180 uses the Allwinner R18 Cortex-A53 quad core 64bit CPU operating at 1.5GHz. Using a Mali-400 MP2 dual-core, high-performance GPU, it supports HDMI 4K output. The IOT180 is an excellent choice for industrial projects, smart terminals, digital signage and more.

The IOT180 has a full array of connectivity options including Ethernet, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and optional 3.75G HSPA+ Cellular. Two external USB ports and a SD card slot provide peripheral and expansion capability.

About the SID400

The Swift-ID SID400 is a USB-connected EPCglobal UHF Gen 2 RFID reader and writer powered by a RAIN-compliant Impinj Indy RS2000 module. It accommodates up to four antennas. In addition to RFID functionality, the SID400 provides a 16-pin terminal block with four GPIO ports, and 5V and 12V outputs. Its USB 2.0 to serial bridge with configurable vendor ID allows for white-label solutions. System functions can be monitored through status LEDs.sid400-transparent-sample small.png

Built for Integration

The Swift-ID SID400 can be controlled with the Swift-ID IOT180 or other Android™ or Android Things™ devices using the Blue ID-Engine middleware from SDG Systems. Blue ID-Engine provides a full-featured Java SDK to control RFID reading and writing, settings and GPIOs. With additional software from SDG Systems, these Android systems can be configured into kiosk mode and managed remotely.

The GPIOs on the SID400 can be used to control a magnetic lock, LEDs, or other hardware. The flexibility and power of the Swift-ID SID400 makes it ideal for inventory management, asset tracking, industrial automation, kiosks and more.
